Supporting Farm service providers.

We train, incubate and support Farm Service Providers (CSPs). CSPs are village based educated youth groups who receives practical trainings on application of farm technologies such as; pest management, installation of irrigation and water systems, installation of farm water dam and fish ponds, construction of livestock facilities and structures, installation of thermal solar driers and solar systems, green house/ screen house installation, bio-digester and biogas  installations, crop and tree nursery establishment, farm management of  export  crops, and other emerging agro- technologies. The youth groups are directly linked with the agro-technology companies, relevant government and non-government organization for continued support and business links and opportunities. More important the CSPs are directly linked to farmer groups and cooperatives   who hires out there services. This implies that untrained farmers will no longer handle items such as pesticides and other risky farm activities, and that this application will only be undertaken by those who are properly trained and certified. The practical training and incubation is done at farm level.

The concept of CSP has been successfully introduced in Kenya, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. So far, more than 5,000 SSPs in Kenya have been trained and serving yearly more than 40,000 farmers.
